This month celebrating the arrival of Spring!
A time of renewal and regrowth where everything starts bursting into life again after the cooler months and the promise of longer warmer days—not too sure about the squawking birds that keep waking me up early though!
There is so much to see and do in the area so now is the time to spring into action if you will pardon the pun and enjoy the beautiful surroundings where we live.
Walking is a fantastic way to get fit, a good excuse to get out and about with friends, it’s a free activity and no special equipment is required, just a pair of comfy walking shoes and a bottle of water!
Lake Macquarie has so many gorgeous areas to explore, with many easy lakeside trails. Walks can be found at Green Point Foreshore Reserve near Belmont, Wangi Point State Conservation Area, and the popular shared path at Warners Bay Foreshore.
There’s nothing better than a stroll along the water’s edge, followed by coffee at one of the many good cafes we have in the area.
